Q: Where will the engraving appear on my product?
A: For almost all products, the engraving will appear near the bottom-right corner. For the few products that have a wraparound cover on the right side (for example, bound journals), the engraving will appear near the bottom left.
Q: What will my engraving look like?
A: The engraving is done with a state of the art laser machine, which burns or engraves into the text into the leather. There is no color added to the engraving, though the text may appear slightly darker than the surrounding leather. For this reason we do not recommend engraving on black leather, since the engraving does not stand out. All other leather colors allow the engraving to show up well, and the lighter the leather, the better the engraving will contrast.
We use Garamond font, and it is usually about 1/4 inch in height. The font size will be reduced on small items or when the appearance requires it.

Q: What color will my engraving be?
A: Our products are laser engraved. Text will be burned into the leather, and there is no color added to the engraving, so text will simply appear slightly darker than the leather it is engraved on. Therefore, engraving on black leather will not show up well and is not recommended.
Q: How long will it take for my order to be shipped to me?
A: Remember that we create each product to order. This production process takes 5-10 business days, depending on engraving and other options, so add this production time to the time of the shipping method you select.
